It is a stopover point for migrating waterbirds of the family Anatidae. Almost half the lake is less than 3 m deep. Nex drive to the Genghis Khan's 13th century capital and Okhon river Valley, cradle of Mongolian civilization.

Karakorum
was the capital of the Mongol Empire in the XIII century and of the Northern Yuan in the XIV-XV centuries. Its ruins lie in the north-western corner of the Ovorkhangai Province of Mongolia, near today's town of Kharkhorin, and adjacent to the Erdene Zuu monastery. They are part of the upper part of the World Heritage Site Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape: the 121,967-ha Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape encompasses an extensive area of pastureland on both banks of the Orkhon River and includes numerous archaeological remains dating back to the VI century. The site also includes Kharkhorum, the XXIII and XIV century capital of Chingis (Genghis) Khan's vast Empire. Collectively the remains in the site reflect the symbiotic links between nomadic, pastoral societies and their administrative and religious centres, and the importance of the Orkhon valley in the history of central Asia. The grassland is still grazed by Mongolian nomadic pastoralists.

This journey designed especially for small groups, families, private, and funny travel. Ride horses or yaks on the steppes, meeting nomadic people, local life experiences, staying in a traditional tent, guided nature trip in a UNESCO, birdwatching, fishing, seeing grasslands and beautiful vistas. We would be pleased to have you join us!.
