Dear Fisherman: Mongolia offers one of the last wildernesses in Asia and in the World. It has got plenty of waters with often rich marine life. One of the largest living freshwater fish on earth, the Taimen (Hucho Hucho Taimen) lives within the waters of various rivers and lakes. Taimen are known to the Mongolians as the "River Wolf". The Big Taimen is a particularly ferocious fish which can often obtain weights of 50 kilos or more. They are an exceptionally ferocious predator which feed on birds, prairie dogs, mice, and fish. The taimen (Hucho taimen), also known as Siberian taimen and Siberian salmon, is a species of fish in the salmon family (family Salmonidae) of order Salmoniformes.

Others species are: the Lenok- the Mongolian equivalent of a trout, generally around 15 to 20 inches (2 to 3 lb) they can grow to over 30 inches and the Grayling are plentiful in Mongolia's rivers, Pike, Grayling, Sig, River Perch, Siberian Umber, Roach, Ide, Bull Ide, Golden Carp, Amur Catfish and Burbot.

A typical fishing day: begins with early morning breakfast and return to our Fishing Camp for dinner and overnights. Cuisine at the camp is a variety of Occidental and Mongolian dishes. Each meal is complemented with homemade soup, a variety of salads, fresh-baked bread, a modest dessert, coffee and tea.

Darhad Valley-This is the Mongolia's most impressive and remote scenery, in the far Northwestern remote village of Renchinlkhumbe of Darhad valley-this is the Land of the Tsaatan people. Although often rains here in the summer, this only adds to the lushness of the scenery, which consists of crystal-clear lakes and rivers, Taiga Siberian forest of larch and pine, and rich, green meadows. There are only 60 Tsaatan families, spread over of 100,000 sq km of Northern Mongolia. They are truly nomadic, often moving from one place to another looking for special types of grass and most loved by the reindeer. They do not use Gers (Mongolian traditional tents), but prefer Tents made from reindeer skin. Tsaatan practice shamanism.

The Shishged River: a river in northern Mongolia and in Tuva. It flows through the Darkhad Valley in northwestern Khovsgol aimag, Mongolia. Of its 344 km length, 298 are in Mongolia. A bridge has been erected near Renchinlkhumbe sum center. Wilderness Camp at the banks of the legendary Shishkid River in the Northern of Mongolia close to Siberia.

Climate: The alpine climate of the northernmost province Hovsgol can change from one extreme to another. In summer, temperatures are mild but weather can change quickly (rain showers are to be expected) and temperatures will range between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius during the day. At night they may drop to 10 to 5 degrees Celsius. In autumn, temperatures may drop to 0 degrees Celsius at night. Altitude at camp is 1650 m above sea level.
